Conduct research to determine how to best increase penetration of renewable and distributed energy resources into existing power systems, including microgrid power systems. Reqs include MS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering; 2 years’ experience as Researcher-Electrical Engineer (Power Systems) or Power Engineer; and working knowledge of (1 post-secondary course or 6 months working with): renewable and distributed energy resources, distribution system modeling and simulation, real-time simulations, power-hardware-in-the-loop, inverter modeling, and MATLAB. BS in same fields + 5 years’ experience is accepted in lieu of MS + 2 years’ experience. Drug Screen and background check required. On call 4 hr/week required.
