Job Title: Assistant Professor, Sport Administration

Job Duties: Teach courses in the undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. Sport Administration program; advise undergraduate and graduate sport administration students; direct graduate projects including theses and dissertations; conduct and advise research in topics directly related to the business and management aspects of Sport Administration; participate in professional, university, and community service; develop and submit grant proposals and pursue other external funding; and recruit students into the sport administration programs (B.S., M.S. & Ph.D.). Courses taught may include Revenue Generation in Sport, Fundraising and Development in Sport, Legal Aspects of Sport, and Sport Promotion and Marketing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Primary Education: Ph.D. in Sport Administration, Sport Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Other Special Skills or Requirements: Must have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching courses in sport administration / management. Must have demonstrated potential for excellence in conducting research and scholarly productivity.
Offered salary range $40,750.00 to $62,000.00 per year. Employer offers benefits including health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement plans. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges.
