Job Title:  Assistant Professor, Psychological Sciences

Job Duties: Tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; course load may include teaching three undergraduate courses per semester. Courses taught may include Introduction to Mental Health and Clinical Psychology. Additional duties include conducting research in clinical and counseling psychology and university service including advisement/mentoring of undergraduate students in the psychological sciences.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience Requirements: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Employer will accept ABD at the time of start date. Also requires 1 year (12 months) of experience teaching undergraduate courses in psychology.

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students in the psychological sciences. Demonstrated potential for excellence in conducting research in clinical and counseling psychology.

Offered salary range $60,000 to $68,000 per year. Benefits available include health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement plans. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges.
