Job Description: Within designated territory, develop and execute sales plans for SomaLogic’s SomaScan proteomic platform and SomaSignal Tests at all levels of the client organization – from initiation through relationship management. Oversee client accounts within assigned territory; generate and grow revenue at accounts in assigned territory; and monitor accounts at various stages of the cycle from prospecting through value delivery. Create, maintain and execute strategic territory business plans. Create, maintain and grow sales pipeline; forecast and report revenue quarterly and annually; and negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements. Visit client sites and other establishments to evaluate needs, provide support, promote sales and answer questions. Introduce SomaLogic’s technologies to relevant accounts and evangelize SomaLogic’s technologies to result in adoption by pharma and academic researchers. Support and coordinate the identification, implementation, qualification and operation of SomaScan Proteomic assay sites within the client organization. Communicate technical data and information, both to and from accounts; guide customers through the deal process, from initial contact through value delivery; assist with preparation of sales materials and collateral; and prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product/services specifications or applications. Utilize knowledge of proteomics technologies; CRM platforms; the pharmaceutical research and development lifecycle; developing and executing sales plans; sales pipeline management and forecasting; academic life sciences and biomedical research operations; Salesforce.com; HubSpot; SciLeads; LinkedIn Sales Navigator; GlobalData; Concur SAP; Agiloft and other tools and technologies in completing duties.
Education Requirements: BS in Biology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or a related field
Experience Requirement: 3 years of direct sales experience focused on a technology with applications in academic, pharma or other life sciences settings. Working knowledge (1 year of experience) of: Proteomics technologies; CRM platforms; the pharmaceutical research and development lifecycle; developing and executing sales plans; and sales pipeline management and forecasting.
