Associate Professor, Criminal Justice (Havre, MT)

Associate Professor, Criminal Justice sought by Montana State University – Northern to work in Havre, MT. To teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice. Teaching load is four to five courses/semester; courses taught may include Sociology of Violence, Fundamentals of Forensic Science, Psychology of Fear, Introduction to Criminology, and Introduction to Sociology. Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students; initiate and moderate classroom discussions; prepare course materials; and evaluate and grade students’ assignments. Advise students on academic curricula, research and career issues and maintain regularly scheduled office hours. Participate in scholarly activities, including conducting research, publishing scholarly articles and making scholarly presentations. Write grant proposals to procure external research funding and provide service to the university. Requirements include Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice or Sociology with a Criminology concentration; and one (1) year as an Associate Professor, Criminal Justice or one (1) year of post-secondary teaching experience.
