Job Title:  Assistant Professor, Beverage Management / Hospitality

Work Location:  Denver, Colorado, and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties:  Teach undergraduate courses in Beverage and Hospitality Management. Teaching load is up to 9 credit hours per semester. Courses taught may include: Brewery Operations, Sensory Quality Analysis, Beverage Promotions, Beer Styles & Service, Beer & Spirits, Beers of the World, Bar/Beverage Operations, Food/Beverage Cost Control, Managerial Accounting for Hospitality, Financial Leadership in Hospitality, and Homebrewing & Fermentation. Prepare class and evaluation materials, deliver lectures, grade coursework, and be available for student questions. Advise students and aid with the development of course materials. Cultivate a rich learning environment for industry-bound students and those students who wish to pursue graduate studies. Integrate technology and applied learning into coursework, applied research, and advising. Conduct research in areas of interest related to Beverage and Hospitality Management. Perform administrative responsibilities related to leading the Brewery Operations degree and Beverage Management minor. Engage in cultivating the university’s internal and external stakeholders. Provide service to the university.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Primary Education and Experience Requirements: Ph.D. in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Hospitality Business, Hospitality Leadership, Beverage Management, Fermentation Sciences, or a related field, and 1 academic year (2 semesters / 9 months) of experience as an Assistant Professor, Beverage Management / Hospitality or experience teaching classes at the college level.

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Position also requires demonstrated experience with course programming, curriculum development, and mentoring/advising students.
