Job Title: Assistant Professor of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies

Job Duties: Tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. Teaching load is minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year. Courses taught may include Introduction to Gender, Women, and Sexualities Studies, Multicultural Study of Sexualities and Genders, Queer Theory, Feminist and Queer Research methods and upper division courses in the area. Teaching activities include: preparing for courses assigned, assessing student progress, conducting curricular review, holding office hours, communicating with students in a timely fashion and integrating technology as appropriate. Maintain 5 office hours per week for advising and consulting with students. Conduct research that leads to publishable works in the field of their specialty. Provide service to the university and community, and engage in scholarly activity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Primary Education and Experience Requirements: Ph.D. in Gender, Women, and Sexualities/Feminist Studies; Women and Gender Studies; or relevant field.
Other Special Skills or Requirements: The position also requires demonstrated teaching experience (6 months) in Gender, Women, and Sexualities Studies undergraduate courses with a commitment to diversity through pedagogy and course content.
Demonstrated research involvement in the field (one publication) of Gender, Women, and Sexualities Studies specific to focus on queer indigenous studies, critical race studies, and/or transnational feminisms.
