Job duties:  Employ advanced analytics, data engineering and data visualization to create and maintain a data platform to validate healthcare data and provide analytical metrics and reports. Gather and analyze requirements and convert them into technical specifications; design, build and support data processing pipelines to transform data in Big Data platforms; build and maintain code for big data ingestion; create and update ETL/ELT specifications and documentation; develop ETL/ELT logic utilizing Informatica workflows, scripting and load utilities; develop Python and other scripts; implement dataflow scripts; write SQL queries; develop and execute quality assurance and test scripts; create and publish reports including dashboards and scorecards; create data models for future. Configure database storage; install applications; implement automation; create and update database procedures, functions, view and file formats; manage GitLab repositories; monitor database performance and integrity; create maintenance plan; and problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues.  Utilize Informatica PowerExchange and PowerCenter; SQL Server; Unix/Linux; data warehouse modeling concepts; PL/SQL; Snowflake; Tableau; Python; and other tools and technologies in performing duties.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Primary Education and Experience Requirements: MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related science field such as Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry + 3 years’ experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Engineer or any other Data Engineering-related job title.

Alternate Education and Experience Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related science field such as Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry + 5 years’ progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Senior Data Engineer, Data Engineer or any other Data Engineering-related job title (in lieu of MS + 3 years).

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Position also requires functional expertise (3 years’ experience) in: Informatica PowerExchange and PowerCenter; SQL Server; Unix/Linux; data warehouse modeling concepts; and PL/SQL.

On-call required for emergencies. Drug screen and background check required.

Employees in this position may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout the US.
