Associate Veterinarian sought by Destination Pet Veterinary Group of Texas, PC to work in San Antonio, TX.
Job Duties: Under close supervision, treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery. Deliver superb customer services for our clients and tailored, ethical care for their pets. Manage routine, sick and emergency visits. Perform elective, semi-elective, and emergency procedures. Perform dental prophylaxis, digital dental radiology, and extractions. Perform digital radiology, bandaging, and immobilization. Enter and update patient records. Build treatment plans, surgical plans, hospitalization plans, and/or transfer plans. Provide preventative, diagnostic, medical, surgical recommendations, and client education. Complete drug calculations, drug administration, prescriptions, and refill requests. Oversee in-house and outbound diagnostics and follow-up calls.
Requirements include: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) or alternately, employer will accept an ECFVG or PAVE certificate in lieu of U.S. DVM or VMD. Position also requires a Texas Veterinarian Medical License. Drug screen required. Post-hire background check required.
Employee will be offered an annual salary between $72,426.00 and $130,000.00.
