Job Title:  Director, Strategy

Work Location:  Provo, UT and other unanticipated locations within the same Metropolitan Statistical Area. May work from home part-time within commuting distance. 

Job Duties:  Direct supply chain and business strategy and operations to develop and test strategies for delivery of services. Disaggregate complex supply-chain problems (including strategic sourcing of environmentally friendly chemicals, maintaining inventory of chemicals according to the peaks and troughs of demand) and business problems (including improving customer retention, optimizing pricing, and increasing labor efficiency to impact revenue and cost) by developing strategies and plans based on analysis of customer demands, finances, and operations logistics. Analyze and calculate customer demand for services, financial and operational impacts; develop forecast models based on data and calculations collected. Research, review, and analyze financial data of the company and competitors; develop financial models for strategic business planning. Collaborate with members of the Strategy and Leadership team to develop hypotheses-driven analyses and recommendations. Resolve supply chain problems to generate cost savings. Identify opportunities for improvement and solve using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations. Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons. Work with Chief Strategy and Chief Operations Officers to assemble and analyze relevant data pertinent to creating the demand forecast including: historical sales trends, current market and industry trends, seasonality, promotions, and new products. Interact with sales, marketing, sourcing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers. Collaborate with heads of business units to drive service, understand inventory risks, opportunity assessments, and overall business analytics. Utilize skills such as demand forecasting, independent demand, and dependent demand; financial modeling; Customer Lifetime Value calculations; regression analysis and time-series forecasting; and supply market analysis and supplier evaluation and selection; as well as tools including Mekko Graphics; SQL; Alteryx; ESRI; Snowflake; Sigma; Sisense; and other tools, skills, technologies, and standards in carrying out assigned duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Primary Education and Experience Requirements: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Supply Chain Management + 3 years’ experience as Director, Strategy, or executing, managing, or leading demand planning. 

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Position also requires working knowledge (6 months’ work experience or 1 post-secondary course using) of demand forecasting, independent demand, and dependent demand; financial modeling; Customer Lifetime Value calculations; regression analysis and time-series forecasting; and supply market analysis and supplier evaluation and selection.

Offered salary range $111,987.00 to $200,000.00 per year.
