Job Title: Aquaculture Technician (multiple positions available)

Work Location: Buhl, Idaho and various farms operated by Riverence Provisions LLC in Gooding County and Twin Falls County, Idaho.
Job Duties: Perform a variety of aquaculture husbandry duties to include daily farm chores such as feeding, mortality removal, and screen scrubbing. Support aquaculture fish rearing activities including feeding, grading, sampling, harvesting, sorting, handling, and transporting fish. Operate and place tail screens, jump boards, graders, and other fish barriers and handle and select proper grading techniques. Practice farm safety, hazard awareness, bio-security procedures, general cleanliness and sanitation procedures, and adhere to the Emergency Action Plan. Monitor the status of facility systems and equipment. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment and systems, including cleaning of debris on head ditch grates, screens, ponds, tanks, and water entry points. Assist with vacuum/ pumping operation and maintenance. Monitor fish behavior and bring any abnormalities to supervisor’s attention. Assist with fish transfers and record any mortalities. Have the ability to speak, read, understand and follow directions from supervisor. Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to internal and external customers. Work in an outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather conditions, performing duties at one or more farms operated by Riverence Provisions LLC. This job involves physical activity such as climbing in and out of raceways, standing or sitting for periods of time, stooping, pushing/ pulling with upper extremities, and lifting occasionally up to 50 lbs. Also involves feeling of products, perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Hearing must be adequate to perform duties and interact in person clearly and efficiently, and manual dexterity is needed as necessary for specific equipment or instrumentation use. This position necessitates clear vision, the ability to identify and distinguish color and to adjust focus.
