Job Title: Lecturer for Mathematics

Job Description: Teach college courses in mathematics. Teaching load is six to eight courses per year; courses taught may include college algebra, precalculus, calculus, and statistics. Prepare class and evaluation materials, deliver lectures, grade coursework, and be available for student questions. Work in the department’s drop-in tutor room; collaborate with other instructors teaching common courses; and aid with the development of course materials. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as work with broadly diverse communities. Maintain a knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility, including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508. Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
Requirements Include: Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field; Experience (1semester) teaching college Algebra, Precalculus, and/or Statistics and teaching underrepresented populations. Applicants must have taken a minimum of 18 credits of mathematics courses at the graduate level. Background check required.
Offered Salary: The offered annual salary for this position will be between $46,700.00 and $50,000.00.
